I just support Platinum Games and Sega occasionally. Others if they dissapear, I won't even notice.

Cause they don't publish their games on the platform.

Yes they did, and look what happened. And given sony's dominance right now. It's just going to make it even harder for japanese devs to make an Xbox 1 game without microsoft funding it themselves.

 

If you're interested in japanese games, you might as well get a PS4

I don't think it was ever in question that the PS4 would be THE next platform for Japanese console games.

The issue in question was how long it would take Japanese developers to switch from PS3 to PS4, after the ridiculously long lifespan of PS2 development. So far, the signs are that it will be much quicker this time around.

What does that have to do with the article?  They are excited about sales in the west because they feel it will translate to large sales in Japan.  The 360 was never going to sell in Japan.

JRPG? Pft, Vanquish, Shenmue, something like Yakuza. Those stuff. Xbox is full of RPGs.
