Which flop makes you sadder?

The Wii U. Come on people, buy it! 332 42.29%

The Vita. I cried many nights over it. 220 28.03%

Neither, they both deserved to flop. 69 8.79%

Lol. When can we add the One to the list? 162 20.64%

Total:783

Both are deserved. Sony and Nintendo both bear the responsibility for their respective consoles not doing well.

However, Sony is now putting in a lot of work in Japan, so I'm actually optimistic about the Vita trending upward, though it's never going to be a major success. They're forming partnerships all over the place and are co-developing a lot of content.

Nintendo hasn't shown me anything yet, though, as with the Vita, it might be awhile before any work is apparent to the general public.

Neither, they both deserved to flop.

With 32 votes cast, how is it possible that I am the first person to vote for this?

I think that the PS4 is going to turn the fortune around for the Vita. I don't think it'll hit PSP levels of success, but I think the landslide of PS4 sales will sell quite a few Vita's for the second screen function.

Plus the future PS4+Vita bundle is going to shift units, even if it's only because it might be the only way to buy a PS4 if this level of demand keeps up!

Sony want to make money by selling art, Nintendo want to make money by selling fun, Microsoft want to make money.

Yes, Nintendo is supporting the Wii U better than Sony supports the Vita. The problem is all the delays and all the time they take. Still no release date or timeframe for Bayo 2 (in the west), X, and Smash other than a vague 2014. And for the gap between DKC and Mario Kart? We have NES Remix 2. That just seems half assed. It could have at least been an SNES remix. And where is Baseball and Boxing for Wii Sports club? Plus the wonderful one VC game per week. If they could actually get their games out in a timely manner, things wouldn't be so bad for the console.

They both kind of deserve to flop really, but there are times where I'm really sad about both.

Probably Wii U, because at least Nintendo's top studios are trying and doing good work on it. They're just hamstrung by an idiotic management group that thought making a game console suitable to the tastes of Japanese housewives was a good target demographic.

Sony just doesn't give much of a crap about the handheld business when it comes to actual games from themselves, most of their better teams work on consoles.

Neither makes me sad; I never cared for handheld gaming and Sony were being ridiculous with the whole concept of the Vita, not to mention the timing. The Wii U will still have awesome 1st party titles, which is good enough for me, but Nintendo screwed up badly and were pining for a reality check to force them to re-connect with any significant portion(s) of the market.
They are both equally deserved since they're both the results of poor conceptualization, terrible market strategy and sheer ignorance.

I'm not losing sleep over either, nor am I terribly excited over the prospect of the 7th gen traditions of gaming being continued with the PS4 as market leader. It is very unlikely I will ever care a great deal about console gaming again.

crash bandicoot is happy

Honestly, neither.I've never enjoyed handhelds and the Wii U is a platform that had a very poor execution ever since it was unveiled at E3 2011.

Vita, probably because I actually own it. The hardware is amazing, leagues better than the 3ds. I've had so much fun with every single title i've experienced on it. I want more!!
