The Xbox One is doomed.....again.

I find it so crazy to see so much positive stuff comparing which version has more pixels yet so little stuff about how this is the first Numbered Metal gear solid game to launch on the Xbox platform which isn't a HD rerelease 10 years later. There isn't a single fan of the Xbox who is sad about getting a 720p version or whatever it's running on the Xbox360 compared to what resolution we had for MGS/2/3/4 on the Microsoft platform... ya know... Nada X Nada Pixels.

I predict that the exact same thing will happen to Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV. Gamers will focus  on how the PS4  versions look soo much better than the Xbox One versions. That's the way it is.

And mark my words: depending on PS4 vs Xbox One sales the exclusivity will return to PS4. Nomura will be very vocal about that.

Looks nice!

Ill pick it up when it hits the bargain bins.

I recall hearing the PS4 version looks and runs significantly better. But this article leads me to believe the disparity is once again resolution. Well, we're gonna have to wait for more thorough analysis I suppose.

I'm just glad they opted for 60 fps instead of 1080p on the X1 version.

Those 7th gen version seem to hold up pretty well considering they have one-tenth the power of their 8th gen successors.

For such aged hardware seeing the likes of GTA5, MGSV and Titanfall on the Ps360 it really should make people think about what kinda true next gen games we can expect to see on the X1/PS4 in a few years time when you look back at some of the launch games from the 360 era which barely showed improvement over the original Xbox versions of games.

Don't expect the same kind of improvement on PS4/X1 as we saw on PS3/360; there's no exotic architecture to work out this time.

GPGPU compute, look it up, it is this gen's "exotic architecture".

Hardly exotic compared to the Cell.

Still more exotic than PS2 and look how that turned out. Compare 2001 vs 2006 PS2 games.

Not really; PS2 was a bitch to work with, not like PS4's straightforward and accessible architcture.

Im not even talking about architecture, PS4 has enough raw power that isn't used yet and won't be fully used for a long time. It has 8 CU's each having 8 compute queues. Killzone SF is apparantly only utilizing only 1 compute queue. Now imagine when devs can utilize all 64. It's gonna be a generational difference between now and 2017 games.

It won't. Wait and see.

Yep, waiting until 2nd and 3rd generation SSM and Naughty Dog games. Gonna look crazy!

They will look fantastic, I have no doubt. I just don't believe for a second it'll be a "generational difference".

Well that was exaggerating a bit, but The Order and Uncharted 4 will be what Uncharted 1 was on PS3, now imagine the equivalent of UC2/3 on PS4. I cant wait to see better particle effects and it already looks so good in inFamous SS
