Well if they cut the price to $399 equal to PS4 I will definatley buy it. That's a price you can't beat if it includes Kinect.

$100 price cut doesn't matter if the kinect is still there.People will always complain they could pay less if the kinect was not togheter.

I'm really not sure why I'm the first to bring this up. It's literally the one thing holding me back from getting and X1 at this point.

Ahh that's cool, I didn't realize Kinect did all that. I mean, I knew it was good for voice commands and all that, but not something I've ever wanted/needed on my 360.

They way it's selling now? Yeah they'll release it by the end of the year.

Kinect is essentially a gamble with the Casuals, its high risk as it will drive up the price of the console regardless of the manufacturing cost, because only MS makes the tech. But it can be high reward, but it has missed the Fad so it is unlikely it will pay off.

However, Microsoft probably cut the kinect eventually, once the system has peaked, they've sold consoles without hdds and without wifi the Kinect is not more integral than these 2, but I doubt a 2-5 mil console gap would matter all that much to them, or at least enough to drop the Kinect prematurely.

I don't know if they will, but I think they should.

My prediction - XB1 without kinect with a bundled game for $399, 2014 holiday season. See you in 8 months.

If Sony can sell PS4 with a more powerful GPU and 8GB GDDR5 memory for $399, then MS should be able to get the Kinect-free XB1 below $399 soon.

Will wait and see what happens with Kinect Sports Rivals in April, that will be a major determining factor in the decision as this is the first game that is meant to truly show off what Kinect 2.0 can do

The Xbox Brand has never been the Market Leader, so I doubt a kinectless SKU will arrive before peak sales. It would only happen if Xb1 lost significant 360 marketshare. The will definitely do it eventually because they aren't Nintendo.
