It's not unheard of at all; early Wii games were often sub-PS2 quality despite the system clearly being more powerful, and that was with a system with more familiar architecture than Wii U.

That was such a terrible lie I'm not even going to let you get away with this ridiculousness ...

For the last god damned time the WII U has the more familiar architecture than the WII DID! It's GPU has NEVER being closer to PC than any other consoles before it and even the original xbox's NV2A had EXCLUSIVE REGISTERS for it so it was more customized and modified in that sense than the latte ever was. The latte is just some low end evergreen GPU with a tacked on eDRAM.

Oh for god's sake, Wii was an overclocked Gamecube with more memory, any dev with Gamecube experience had a head start on mastering it.

You claimed that the WII had a more familiar architecture than the WII U. I refuted it with facts, now get over it.
