Forums - Gaming - The 3DS didn't peak yet!

The 3DS peaked?

Of course! 79 44.63%

Nope! 98 55.37%

Total:177

Well it essentially has no competition right now so really its sales are dependent on the viability of the handheld gaming market and how Nintendo handles its for the next few years. Still think there is a lot of growth for the European and Asian markets so we will see how it does.

They need big sellers for genres that are not already on the console, otherwhise I don't see that happening.

They threw a lot at 2013, not sure how they can top it. I expected huge sales last year, but think have to realize a large chunk of that market, particularly kids, seem to be phone of tablet obsessed now.

If you don't mind me asking, what genres would those be?

Unless it gets another Pokemon, remodel, awesome new IP, and third parties help... it already peaked.

It'll probably get all of these things. Minus maybe a new first party IP.

OT: I hate when people say words with the reasoning behind them being a hunch. Ugh!

There is no reasoning behind it but it comes from the heart. I firmly belive in the 3DS!

It needs more IP's on popular genres to push systems. Kinda like Infamous or Uncharted, those games are big in the US.

Based on the numbers, it has.

Shooter, fightnings, sandbox I guess.
