Yes, the 3DS didn't peak yet! Don't ask me why though, it's more of hunch than an educated guess. I feel the 3DS still has a lot of life in it and we will see it peak in 2015 with the introduction of a new model or something like that.

You can't be too positive these days around here if you are talking about Nintendo! So I attached this article about Nintendo's hardware decline by Matt Matthews! I think it's well written... kinda! It's bad news so rejoice!

A prediction based on nothing is worthless.

Unless it gets another Pokemon, remodel, awesome new IP, and third parties help... it already peaked.

I predict the 3DS will keep selling 14 million a year for the rest of its life.

Numbers say yes. A killer app might come along. I feel like it will get a huge bump when Smash rolls out. But does that bump equate to a new peak? Remains to be seen. I think we would have seen a massive, sustained bump when Pokemon released. The fact that we haven't really makes me not too optimistic about a future peak. I believe it will ride out the gen with very strong sales, but yes: it has peaked. That's my guess.

I don't think the system has anywhere else to go but down, really. I hardly think sales will fall off a cliff, but I have no reason to believe 2013 wasn't its peak.

It'll probably get all of these things. Minus maybe a new first party IP.

OT: I hate when people say words with the reasoning behind them being a hunch. Ugh!

I really think they need solid FPS and Racing IPs to help push both 3DS and WiiU in the west, and 3DS remodel and 2DS Japanese release. I'm personally 50/50 on the matter as while I don't think it peaked yet, I'm not exactly sure.
