Forums - Sony - Around 60% of PS4 Owners Also Have a PS Vita

Remote play absolutely sucks donkey balls. I have both a PS Vita and PS4 and I like both consoles, but the remote play feature that Sony likes to show off is horrendous. Graphically the games look fine through remote play, but the lag in the controls completely kills it. This isn't just a little bit of lag, it is unplayable levels of lag. I tried COD Ghosts on Vita with the feature and even moving your character around feels like a task, let alone doing anything else. Sony really needs to improve this feature manifold before it can even be put as a bullet point on the back of the box.

did you make sure to have your ps4 connected to the net with wired net to free up it's wireless abilitys to fully handle remote play? They've said using a wired internet connection will make remote play work a load better.

what does this tell us?

thats a VERY interesting stat imo.

That playstation has more hardcore fans than any other manufactor?

I love Playstaion and own a PS4, but I think Nintendo owners are more hardcore. Why? Because most Sony games are "cool", which attracts more mainstream gamers. Nintendo's games are not "cool" at all. Only the most hardcore SOB is going to walk through a mall, playing fucking Pokemon on a 3DS at the age of 32 and not give a shit.

THAT'S hardcore.

I always use wired connection because I play online multiplayer.

Could there possibly be anything strange interfereing with the Vita's connection? CRT tvs or old unshielded speaker systems.... I'm just taking guesses here, you don't happen to house your game consoles in a lead cabinet? :D

My game consoles are in the wide open and I play on a 40 inch 1080p LED-backlit TV with headphones.

That can't be true. I find it hard to believe.

Id bet 99% of One owners were 360 owners, i cant imagine many switched brand too Xbox this time.

This info would make me nervous if I were Sony.

It could be taken that the 60% of the PS4 numbers are hardcard Sony fans that would buy the console no matter what, cause only those people have Vita's.

So i would be slightly worried that soon the PS4 demand could go down.

At least that is one perspective of this. I don't believe that PS4 demand or sales are going to decline huge, but I do believe that that 60% number will not improve. Vita isn't going to start climbing that charts cuase PS4 is great. That number is just huge at moment cause every huge sony fanboy owns both consoles already.

I think good part of these 60% bought Vita due PS4...

I bought the Vita because of the PS4 Remote play and glad I did :)

I just played Tomb Raider less than 5 mins ago via remote play, I am 40 miles from home and it was more than acceptable but my PS4 is wired onto a 40meg fiber :) I am sure that helps a lot.
