Forums - Gaming - Another Red Dead Redemption 2 Might Not Sell Well (IMO) Let's Talk Rockstar

I loved getting chased by the police in red dead. Horse riding and shooting at buildings. Getting chased into the mountains where i steer them to a band of robers and a huge gunfight breaks out.

Good stuff

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

Next gen RDR should do fine. Especially if it gets released before the next Gta.

I have been a backseat driver with GTA-series, watching only, as my boys have played it. I tried myself a couple of times but for some reason it does not appeal to me. RDR I have played 100% to both endings and loved just riding around without a goal. I even tried the Zombie game but did not enjoy it as much. If I will enjoy a new RDR I am not so sure but I would probably buy it....
...one reason to buy a PS4.

I loved riding the train and just looking around on the scenery!

Strangely I'm the only one who shares the OP's opinion, I think it is a great game, but doesn't deserve a sequel, we've seen it all, I've only played it for the story and still haven't finished it yet.

"we've seen it all"
Have we not seen all in GTA? What was new for GTA V? The ability to play golf?

It would sell loads. The reason there isn't a sequel yet is because Rockstar takes their sweet time when making their game. It was what....5-6 years or something between GTAIV and V?

There will be a new Red Dead game in time

Sure, if a different developer could make a different game based around a different character and story with the same setting.

Why a different developer?

It would be a different interpretation of the period. Any game made by Rockstar would probably end up very similar to RDR.

(Former) Lead Moderator and (Eternal) VGC Detective

RDR didnt have as many features as GTA, most of the map was empty and the replay value which came from clearing gang hideouts and the co-op missions were very repetitive.
If there is a sequel, im sure it will be a lot better and will sell better too.

Pretty sure they'd (rockstar) be more likely to make another red dead game than some of their other series. They're not exactly in the habit of cranking out anything too quickly. I have a feeling we'll see BULLY 2 before an rd game but I'm just assuming that based on rumors.
I hope they make one. After gta v I feel like I'm through with that series, much as I liked it, but I'd like to see where red dead goes. I'm pretty sure it'd sell well

GTA V and San Andreas were plenty different for me
