I took my daughter for a happy meal today for a treat,and the current promotion is the Lego movie. However on the promotional materials and happy meal boxes there is a picture of Mario punching the air with the words "coming soon to your happy meal"...Mario figures perhaps? Is this an example of Nintendo using their main IP in a different capacity like they recently stated? 

Mario was packed in McDonald's happy meals back when Mario 3 came out. I got a koopa troopa!

I think they did that before didn't they? Well, it's a good promotion, especially to younger audiences.

I miss when they used to have gamecubes set up.

They did this recently in Europe. I got a Super Mario! :)

They did this recently over here, I got Mario and a Mario with a coin block

there were gamecubes in actual buildings for the customers to play? Really?

McDonalds is also a good place to market Bayonetta 2.  You  get a toy of Bayonetta that  slowly opens her legs if you eat there! Fun for the whole family!

I would happily trough 8 happy meals in a row to collect them.
