I think it will match japan more or less. so 400-500K Lifetime, not week 1.
Final Fantasy 4 Heroes of light sold 0.21 USA 0.23 Japan 0.09 Europe.
My prediction is double those numbers probably a bit more. I'll gladly eat crow, and I bought the collectors edition so it's not like I have anything against it.
I just got my bravely default limited edition. lol
My Bravely Default CE is for sale, check it out: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bravely-Default-Collectors-Edition-Nintendo-3DS-2014-/221490881912?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item3391e2a578
Wow, pretty high expectations. Many expect it to sell better than in Japan, which is crazy because the game is designed for the japanese market. It also is for the 3DS, a handheld, which is not as popular as in Japan. If the US can match the japanese numbers that would be incredible and meaning a lifetime total worldwide of over 1 million, that would be awesome. I think more along the line of 200-300K.
And yes, the game is awesome. Also the Ninja sn't available early on. The demo also ommitted some of the more unique classes like merchant or performer (at least here in europe). And naturally all jobs can be leveled a lot more than in the demo. The combat option Bravely Second also wasn't available in the demo I think. So a lot more to look forward to in the full game. I can clearly recommend it, if you like old-school-RPG with turn-based combat (something which I still think is superior, although good RPGs with real-time-combat do exist).
