So Bravely Default came out today in North America on the 3DS.  The fans seem to be excited, and it has gotten a lot of hype.

It first came out in Japan on October 11, 2012, then in Europe on December 6, 2013.

It has sold as follows in the other regions:

According to VGChartz, as of January 25, 2014.  VGChartz also reported that there are 166,241 pre-orders up to launch in the US.

So how many units do you think Bravely Default will sell in North America?  First week?  2014?  Lifetime?

For lifetime I'm expecting 650K.

considering how i can't find a copy anywhere in my town i am expecting around 250K to 500K opening week and over a million life time

I've updated the first post with past release dates and the US pre-order numbers.

I hope a lot... Its better than FFXIII by a long shot and its as close as we are gonna get to a true FF from square until FFXV (I hope) atm

I think it's going perform pretty well. I expect a 175k first week and a 400k lifetime.

Anything is better than FF13 by a long shot.  Even Eternal Eyes. 

P.S.  Don't play Eternal Eyes.  It's horrible.

I actually wasn't going to get Bravely Default until it dropped in price but I downloaded the demo last week.  Seven hours later, I had completed the demo and finished maxing my job class levels.  I thought it was amazing.  The Ninja is extremely OP, so I'm hoping that class is acquired late in the game, but not counting SMT4 and Persona 4, it's one of the best RPGs I've played in a long time.

I bet it does more (this includes digital sales cuz it'll be hard to find in the first couple of weeks!)
