The specs are on PC and even a toaster can run it, so just buy it for that and grab a PS4.

The more that comes out on Titanfall, the more that I think it was mostly fanboy hype anyway

I don't think this automatically applies anymore.

Look at Mass Effect 2 and 3.  Both landed on EA's watch, both were absolutely world class.

To be honest, EA  gets shadier and shadier every year. ME2 came out in 2010 and ME3 in 2012 ( and ME3 was much shadier than ME2 in terms of DLC).

Thats true, their business practices can be appalling.

I guess what I am saying is that they have demonstrated they are capable of fostering fantastic quality games - even though they often wrap them in nefarious costings and payment/authorisation options.

In addition to ME3 there was all its DLC.  Whilst overpriced, it was some of the best DLC any game has ever gotten.

I agree. Despite EA's shady practises, they published  some great games last generation such Dragon Age Origins, Battlefield 3 , Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, Mirror Edge and others. I  am looking foward to Mirror Edge 2, the new Battlefront and Dragon Age 3. I just hope they don't get destroyed too much by shady shit.

In the end you should buy a Xbox One  only if you feel like it. You shouldn't be convinced by anyone. Just wait until you feel like it is  the time to buy a Xbox One.
