It already sold 3 million in 2013, so if its second holiday season can be even as big as it's first (and pretty much every console outside the Wii U/Vita/Dreamcast have had bigger 2nd holidays than launch holidays), it will have to sell 4 million between January and November.

360 did about 6 million, or slightly below, in the first full year on the market. With price cut, some good software and continued advertisement and incentive programs, I can see the One selling perhaps the same as the PS3's first full year (slightly below 8 million). There is no Wii phenomenon to battle this time and the PS4 will never reach the levles of the PS2 in sales or market share.
My predictions are in my sig, I'm thinking the One can be at around 11 million lifetime at Januart 1st 2015, I think they'll have a fantastic holiday in NA and a nice Q4 globally following a much needed price cut.

If rumors are true about Forza Horizon 2,Sunset Overdrive,Quantum Break, Halo 2 anniversary, Halo 5 beta and a price drop between Sept and Dec 2014 I would say this is totally possible. Unless Sony reveals more holiday titles aside from The Order I see X1 being next holidays hot console.
