I can see xbox fans are against the idea but I would like to see how the market responds to a drive-less console.

I find this whole thing ironic because they sold 360s without harddrives. I'm pretty sure this was their plan before they reverse DRM.

I'm sure it was the plan. But we all saw how that turned out. Going back now would be a disaster for them.

And yes, it's pretty ironic to go from no HDD to no disc drive.

Can we stop with this bullshit comparison? People buy digitial because steam has tons of sales, phone games are acceptable because for the love of god the games costs 1$... Don't compare what can't be...

Step One - Bump the price of the base model up to a gross 500 dollars
Step Two - Pack Kinect in with it, make every gamer deal with it
Step Three - See that the above two piss people off, release Discless system at discount.
Step Four - Force people to buy digital copies of games
Step Five - Force a Kinect peripheral that can punish you without Microsoft's influence
Step Six - Ban people from XBL and therefore their console for a minor infraction
Step Seven - Said banned users lose all their games they paid for!

EVERYONE WINS! WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?!

Of course this is fake. Duh. Microsoft is certainly dumb and pushign this sort of invasive shit, but after their 180, I don't think they'd do something this dumb.  Then again, they ARE trying to emulate Sony's mistakes this gen, so maybe we're seeing their version of PSPGo?
