It dosen´t. This article is based on the assumptions from the "jornalist" and a obscure comment from the MS PR guy.

Every other facts is in either NPD or financial reports.

PS: Microsoft won´t disclosure sales outside of NPD or financial reports.

Man you sure are desperate the sales number are speaking for themselves.

Somebody here make no idea how sold vs shipped works... they need at least 1.5 week to shipments reach the stores... 4.2 sold at Dec 28 means Sony shipment of late December didn't reach stores to be sold.

BTW PS4 sold a lot in the third week of January in US, I won't be surprised if VGC shows a 100k gap only in US.

I don´t know, nobody knows. But our friend @ethomaz has been saying for a while two things:

1- Sony is selling every single PS4 they made. There is no in stock for more than a few howers. They all vanished isntantly.

2- Sony is producing way more PS4 than MS is producing XOnes.

Well, can you see that those to things can´t be right at the same time, unless you consider 8% "way more" units.

Or if you take into account logistics, i.e. the time it takes to ship a unit from the factory to the supplier and onto the retailer, on a world wide scale.

So, you thing PS4 has already brake the 5mi mark, or in fact it´s at its mid 5mi going to the 6mi mark by next week... 

I think you need some math class...

Sony had about 500k units produced in late December to ship... some was hold to the launch countries in early January... maybe 50-100k... the others reach the stores in the fist weeks of January.

Now check the VGC sales after Dec 28...

Is this going to be a monthly thing like ethomaz's "I think PS4 will win (insert month here) NPD!" threads? Where you post some stuff and if it turns out to be wrong, just recycle it next month until eventually you're right? mortimer said MS would have a bad December NPD and IIRC they outsold the PS4. Not only did he ignore his own comments after NPD came out, he even belittled posters on GAF for talking about it because the Xbox One winning December was such "an obvious outcome" that everyone should have seen it coming. Except him earlier in the month, apparently. Why would anyone give his insight into sales the time of day? He's full of rich, creamy, shit.

Anyways regarding a huge disparity after the Japan launch? Does it mean Xbone gets no Titanfall? No? Then I'm leaving the thread not giving an f.

titanfall won't have remotely close to the impact you think it will, it won't be outselling ps4 in march put it that way.
