a little misleading on title, but I agree, once The Japan launch is counted in, its going to be a massive margin.



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Bit obvious really, Sony were always going to win Jan NPD as for March 1st I expect it will be rather one sided by then.

Japan will probably have the PS4 on the top of the charts for WW for a good month and then it will probably be swapping between 1st and 2nd with the 3DS over the following months.

Well if the X1 had a weak NPD month compared to the PS4 then that goes pretty much completely against our data, so I don't know about that.

Other than that, yeah the PS4s lead will only continue to grow, especially if those leaked release dates for the Tier 2 and Tier 3 countries for the X1 are true, if the X1 doesn't get any new countries by March 31st, then the difference between both machines could possibly grow up to 2.5mil consoles or more.
