Everyone in here is speaking to my heart. It's funny that I have to come to a video game forum to read sensible thoughts from wrestling fans instead of going to an actual wrestling forum.

the WWE.com user area is hilarious, you basically say anything which happened in the last 5 years of wrestling and it will be removed for spoiling their show or if you say an opinion other than exactly what the WWE have going as their story and the comments get removed by moderators. It's impossible.

Wrestling is also pretty much the only "sport" I've ever watched and happily bought the video games of so yeah I guess there are a few other gamers in the same boat as myself.

Given the strict, controlled, robotic nature of the WWE environment, I'd expect nothing less. WWE is to wrestling what McDonalds is to food: homogenized, impersonal and without soul.

At least if you don't like McD's you can go to another food joint.... Vince owns any Wrestling brand worth talking about really.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Wow, really? Billy Gunn has to be, like, what? 50?

But I don't really think Vince will care. Supposedly Punk's previous run-ins with Vince are what precipitated this in the first place, and Vince has always been the kind of guy who does things for his own amusement as much as because he thinks it will make money. In his boundless contempt for his own audience, he just figures they'll lap up whatever he throws at them. I haven't watched the WWE in forever, but I can only imagine that has gotten worse now that he has no competition to speak of, at least in so far as he still believes that the UFC isn't eating the WWE's lunch.

So if Punk has stood up to him before, it could be another Bret Hart situation where however big a star he is Vince is happy to see the back of him. I was never really a fan of Punk since he just seemed like an overrated KENTA wannabe from what little I've seen, but if he's got that kind of a spine, then good on him.

- Daily Sports in Japan reports that WWE has offered a contract to Pro Wrestling Noah star KENTA and that Noah will be doing a farewell show for him but that’s likely a premature report. We noted before that KENTA was at the WWE Performance Center for a tryout this week.

Check and Mate, Mr. Punk.  You might be gone but the WWE already has the original version of you waiting in the wings!

It's probably not true, those kinds of WWE rumors come out of the Japanese promotions all the time, but the timing on this was just perfect.  Why would the WWE want a small, 30-something Japanese wrestler when they already have Daniel Bryan?  So he can kick Orton in the head?  I think not.

It would be entertaining seeing him job to Ryback or The Miz, though.

Wow, is that from today? That is pretty strange timing.

I hope it pans out. If it does they should make KENTA get a bunch of douchey hipster tattoos and actually try to pass him off as CM Punk. Maybe even have someone cut his promos for him over the PA while he badly lip syncs along like WCW used to do with La Parka. I'd mark out like I haven't marked out since Mae Young squirted a rubber hand out of her varicose nethers.

TNA's not worth talking about? Nah, don't answer that question. I probably won't like the answer, truth or not.

I've been thinking that with Sting probably coming to WWE that TNA could do worse that spending some money trying to get CM Punk. They need somebody.

And I don't think Angle is the one to carry the company.

It would be absolutely and completely perfect if they let him use the Go 2 Sleep (which they probably won't).  They could say Punk left because he heard KENTA was coming to kick his ass for stealing his moves.

The report was published yesterday, though I read it today.

Prince Devitt is supposed to be coming to the WWE, as well, though they'll probably make him stop being bloody dangerous to other performers.

Oh, neat. I hadn't heard that but he did just drop the IWGP Jr. Title, so I guess it makes sense. I think he's booked on next month's New Japan tour, though. I might be tempted to tune in to the WWE for the first time in years just to check him out. His entrance at the Dome was siiiiiick.

Wah, that's awesome.  Like if Jeff Hardy let someone with any skill or talent do his face-paint for him.  Imagine.

Devitt could be a star in the WWE, I think.  He has all the tools.  That's actually the first I've seen of Kingdom 8.  I can't believe Devitt actually lost with all the crazy stuff they let Bullet Club get away with.  They make the NWO look subtle.

Now I need to go watch Tanahashi v. Nakamura and be pissed off that Nakamura didn't win.  Again.

He could easily be the next Chris Benoit.

Uhh.

Well.

You know what I mean.
