after writing that and thinking about it... they got a massive thing they could offer Punk if they wanted him loyal forever which would be Massive next to Batisda getting some title match at Wrestlemania. Offer Punk a rematch for the Streak and let him end it.... Would be fucking awesome.

they wouldnt

Probably not, Vince n co are very bad at doing what would be good for business in the long term and more about the short term buck, heck when all the wrestlers below 50 just give up coming to work for 5 mins in the shadow of someone who could actually die mid fight from natural causes then we'll see if they still turn a profit from a 3 hour memorial each week to when there used to be some fighting done.

Everyone in here is speaking to my heart. It's funny that I have to come to a video game forum to read sensible thoughts from wrestling fans instead of going to an actual wrestling forum.

IF anyone was to brake takers streak it would have been a young guy signed for a couple of years for a major boost, but i'm not sure if winning from taker is still that hot

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I occasionally check bleacher report ( also covers other sports which imo is a major plus ) but the comment system is really out of bounds, and thye like attacking certain "heel" writers :-p

the WWE.com user area is hilarious, you basically say anything which happened in the last 5 years of wrestling and it will be removed for spoiling their show or if you say an opinion other than exactly what the WWE have going as their story and the comments get removed by moderators. It's impossible.

Wrestling is also pretty much the only "sport" I've ever watched and happily bought the video games of so yeah I guess there are a few other gamers in the same boat as myself.

I'm never visiting that site again. It took away TNA's section and made it part of the WWE section, and there are more trolls in that place than in all of Middle Earth. Half the damn TNA "writers" are secretly or not-so-secretly WWE trolls too. Wrestling fans are just like video game fans, if not worse. They complain about how trash WWE is right now and pine for the good ol' days of the Attitude Era, but they don't want WWE to be challenged in any meaningful way.

LOL, exactly but I like that they compile most interesting news and stories, and one writer allways has a nice report if i miss a raw or ppv. Don't bother with other sites, mainly because I haven't checked for better communities

I watched Royale Rumble, not watched wrestling since mid 2000s.

Jesus that was crap, why do half the wrestlers look like tramps? Did Big Show get a real injury or was that fight just as lame as when Show ended Lesnars first time champion streak back in 2004 or so?

Royal Rumble itself was really boring too, and is it just me or was it blatently obvious who was going to win before it even started? Remember I've not watched wrestling in years and I guessed that right.

Oh and it featured recycle fights that contributed to why I stopped watching years back.  9 years later and same match ups, really?

It was obvious who was going to win the Rumble for about 2 months now.

Given the strict, controlled, robotic nature of the WWE environment, I'd expect nothing less. WWE is to wrestling what McDonalds is to food: homogenized, impersonal and without soul.
