When you have thousands of death treats because of Mass Effect 3 ending. Making a fuss because Cranky Kong was the Nintendo reveal at the VGX. All gaming forums insulting either MS, Sony or Nintendo. FF XIII is a piece of shit. Death treats because Bayonetta 2 is a Wii U exclusive. Nintendo is doomed because of the 2DS. Mobile games are the devil. I can agree with all impertinence said.
The reasons above is why people doesn't take the game industry seriously. They see the industry (and it's fans) like a bunch of grown up kids, and sadly, this kind of things doesn't really prove them wrong.

Not sure what they said on Reddit but I think it is obvious that they want to protect leakers/insiders since that is a big reason why gaf is so famous. A newspapers does also everything to get info in their newspapers and to protect those who are responsible for the info they got. Gaf isn't a newspaper but they have the same reasons to protect these people. Who would ever leak something in the future if he wouldn't feel safe?
