Hope they are using UE4 or something better for the next one. Might get an X1 for this when it's out. This is IMO the best xbox exclusive. better than Halo.

Please don't make it personal, I only meant that I chose the PlayStation because I like the variety that Sony offers. The Xbox is a perfectly viable option for gaming too, and yes there will be some new IP, but I don't think will be as much variety. As to my next exclusive I intend to try out Basement Crawl, but yes I will be picking up inFamous: Second Son, is that a bad thing? 


You made it personal when you put "I" in your post. I never said buying Second Son is a bad thing, just don't try to make it seem like Sony is being completely new while MS milks every franchise. Both have fanbases that want new and old games.

Ah right, I see your point regarding inFamous and agree, Sony are also remaking some of their IP. Although surely you can agree that Sony releases a greater diversity of games? It doesn't make it better, it just makes it better suited to me.

For the people wondering about Black Tusk's New Ip this is from Black Tusk. And seeing as Gears was just bought it will likely be years before the next gears.

“Big games, big teams, big budgets, long timelines […] What that means is we are working on Microsoft’s next big entertainment franchise. ...gears was epic's showpeice for the unreal engine.  take it away from epic, take away it's bleeding edge status and the only game using the best possible technology availible and, imo, it won't stand out anymore.   it will be another shooter in an oversaturated genre.  throw on the growning pains of a newly established studio and the new leadership (that even if they have good ideas) will "change" the franchise and we've seen time and time again how pissed off people get when you change an established franchise.

Good move for Microsoft. Everyone doubting the franchise will forget their doubts when they see a next gen Gears looking bad ass the first time they show the first gameplay trailer....

And TitanFall will come next, Microsoft won't lose a franchise so linked to Xbox One, despite being an IP of Respawn. They will buy Respawn if they need to.

So Microsoft is starting to have a lot of exclusives in Halo, Gears, TitanFall, Ryse, Forza, ... This Microsoft reminds me like the one from 2005-2007. This can only be good news for Xbox fans.
