EverQuest Next is a sequel but it's also somewhat of a reimagining for the franchise. It will not play like the old EverQuest games or World of Warcraft. It is actually quite well designed to be an MMO on a console. The amount of actions available at any given time are limited like Guild Wars 2. The game plays more like an action RPG than a typical MMO from what they've said and shown so far.

I don't know why people get excited about this. This game will be dumb down for the controller for a console which means the game will be lame. After all, FF XI was pretty dull and boring. And I still have no hope for this game. WoW will still be doing better when this one comes out.
