Congratulations! Remember a while back when you wished you could be the president of Nintendo? Well I had a lot of other requests that I had to complete first, but I have finally made your wish come true - you are now Iwata! :)

But what is this? You have a problem! Investors want the WiiU to start selling big numbers, and fast! What are you going to do to solve this conundrum?

You don't have complete free-reign, mind- there are a couple of things that you CANNOT do, even as Iwata (for whatever reason)

1) You can't just abandon the WiiU and release another console.

2) You can't just abandon the console industry altogether and go third party.

With that in mind, enjoy your comfy president chair- you have some tough decisions to make!

Thats not fair, you eliminated the two best options.

my thoughts exactly

- Sign on some important 3rd party titles
- Make case to EA & co, and beg/pay them to release FIFA & Madden.
- Release SKU without game pad for $199 including a bundled game.
- Sell game pad separately for $99 with Nintendoland and a voucher for some eShop credits.
- Release awesome titles in 2014, and announce big titles for next 2 or 3 years.
- Work on next hook game/add-on for casuals.

- For mobile future, parner up with Google to make aNdroid/tendo phone-game-pad.

My 8th gen collection

On a serious note, I was thinking of re-posting what I said two years ago, since I've done that before.

You can only release more content and market it well, hoping it will catch on.
If I was Iwata, I  would just release more titles, and market them just a bit.

Art Academy Wii U
Big Brain University
Endless Ocean 3
A proper Wii Sports U (mash of Go Vacation and Wii Sport Resort)

Since third parties won't release software, do collaborations with them...
Buy a few developement studios, even mobile ones and make new stuff,
even small digital ones that are completely original in the gameplay department.

Nobody will buy a WiiU for these, can find a thousand of them as free or 99p apps.

A nice art learning tool with a stylus input? I think people would buy that.
The Gamepad is not limited by portability issues like the 3DS/DS titles,
you have a bigger screen thus it is much better for drawing.

And I would release both titles as eShop games.
Maybe Art Academy as retail too, for more exposure.
