Forums - Gaming - Tomb Raider Definitive Edition runs at 60 FPS on PS4 (Xbone - 30FPS)

That's a pretty huge difference. Was there any similar case in the previous gen where a 360 game was running at double the frame rate?

Bayonetta and Skyrim run quite worse on PS3, but not at half the frame rate, and that was mainly due to poor porting jobs. It seems the difference is going to be quite pronounced this time around.

Bayonetta.  360 ran at 60fps.  I think PS3 sometimes dropped below 30fps.

*edit*

Yeah.  PS3 went as low as 16fps.  360 I think went down to the mid 36fps but most of the time stayed above 50fps.  Horrible port.  Not only was the framerate bad, but it even looked worse.

Nah dood! They're practically the same...I promise...

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Dat superior PS4...

But but but... the cloud... the secret sauce... the truth Major Nelson just can't wait to come out...

I wish they will allow upgrade from the PS3 version for $10 bucks or something.

Yet another story about the Xbone being held back at 720p 30FPS. Cerny is smiling right now. Looks like Sony fixed their multiplat issue. Response is always a good thing while in battle.

$60 is still too fucking much for Tomb Raider Fraud Edition.

You guys are awful. I read through the whole thread and not one person claiming that there is no difference between 30 and 60FPS :(

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

So apparently Amos said 6 days ago it was 30 for both? Is there gonna be a framerate patch or something? I'm taking this as a rumor until we get Digital Foundry confirmation.
