Forums - Gaming - 5 Most Underrated Games Of 7th Gen?

5. Spirit Tracks (A million times better than the subpar Phantom Hourglass, and yet it somehow managed to get worse reviews and sales. WTF?)

4. Prince of Persia '08 (Still can't understand why this was so overlooked by the public and critics. I found it to be a great reboot that was familiar yet different, and I loved the game's look especially)

3. Kirby's Epic Yarn (Yes the game is ridiculously easy and it would be nice if you could actually die or fail a level in  any way. But the fact that it's also one of the most innovative and creative 2d platformers of last gen more than makes up for that)

2. DMC: Devil May Cry (thank the "fans" for throwing this to the wolves before ever even playing it and discovering what a fun action game it is)

1. Mirror's Edge (The problems it may have are vastly outweighed by the innovation and freshness it brought to its genre. Received nowhere near the critical or commercial success it should have)

I got this idea from Multishanks thread, so thanks for the idea, and sorry if you're mad. What do you think are the most underrated 7th gen games?

5. Sonic and the Black Knight (Don't really like it, but It's not THAT bad)

4. Skyward Sword

3. Super Paper Mario

2. Sonic Unleashed

1. Spirit Tracks

Skyward Sword received good ratings didn't it?  The sales did not live up to the ratings though.

1doesnotsimply

1. Trauma Center New Blood. This game could not have been good without the wii mote nunchuk combo. I Can't think of many games I can say that for. One of my favorite games of the gen.

2. Dishonored. This game felt so goood to play. The power you had felt great

3. Infamous 2: This game was excellent, a huge improvement over the first. I can't wait for second son.

4. DKCR: The best 2D plat of the gen. Truly fantastic in every way.

5. Little Big Planet: I know it got good reviews, but it didn't catch on fire like I think it should have. That shit was magical.

5) Vanquish - Simply one of the best third person shooter out there. Story was garbage but who care when the game plays like this.

4) Lollipop Chainsaw - Critics hated this and noone really talks about it. Personally, I had so much fun playing through it.

3) Catherine - Quirky, niche and not to everyones tastes.. but oh so good. Shame it was overlooked by a lot of gamers.

2) Lost Odyssey - If LO was called Final Fantasy, it would have sold a helluva lot more and got a much higher score all round.

1) Castlevania Lords of Shadow - I'll never understand the hate for this game (it gets so much flak on forums like this). Solid gameplay, decent length, excellent story and lore.. yet, LOS get critically panned for not being a Metroidvania game, and a GOW clone.

1. Lost Odyssey
2. Dead Rising
3. Tales of Vesperia
4. Eternal Sonata
5. Forza Horizon

Infamous series. all three of them yes im including the DL vampire one, play that shit its great

Mirror's Edge, wasnt a bad game a bit of a ball buster, if EA could work out the kinks for the sequel its straight gold.

Red Steel 2, this is the type of game that they should have been making for WIi from day one. and nobody bought it. makes me sad. Ubi give it one more go and put it on a system that actually will buy it. PS3, aw hell just make it PS3, WIi U MP thow PS4 in their as well.

World Ends With You, here was a core game that incoporated all of the DS' functions and it didnt suck. We need a sequel and more people need to get this game. Not that iOS nonsense doesnt do it justice.

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom. I actually need to buy this game, played the demo and loved it.

Yakuza 4 just for shits and giggles, pretty much if GTA was made in the east with no vehicles. I loved this game, if you're one of those people crying about no Shenmue and havent played this then I dont know what you are crying about.

the irony is that is the best selling one in the series PS360 combined, actually 2nd best...probably

I did! :)

Sadly I think most potential buyers were too badly burned by the broken promises and general shittiness of Red Steel 1 to touch its sequel with a ten foot pole...

5- Kameo  ( often gets ignored because some people are too busy fangasming over Rare's older games. Game has intelligent puzzles, fun levels and charming characters)

4- Rayman Legends   ( One of the best platformers I have ever played. This game has everything: stealth sections, shoot 'em up sections, music levels. It's simply outstanding)

3- Vanquish  ( The graphics are nice, the soundtrack is dope,  the power-ups are awesome, the fast boosting  mechanic is cool and the setpieces are memorable)

2- Tatsunoko VS Capcom ( Game looks almost as good as Street Fighter 4 despite being on the Wii. The gameplay is pretty energetic, pulling combos is as fun as ever and the roster is one of  the most balanced rosters I have seen in ages)

1- Super Paper Mario  ( The hate this game got is criminal. The characters and story are the best the Paper Mario franchise has offered yet. The extra stuff like  cooking recipes, hunting treasures,  collecting Catch Cards, getting the optional Pixls and so on is very rewarding. The game also has the same charm as before)
