Forums - Gaming - CVG: "Nintendo was dead to us very quickly" after the Wii U, says EA source

the real news here is that EA thought that the 60$ Mass Effect 3 WiiU port was a solid effort

And two days later, EA released Mass Effect collection for Ps3 and 360, which had all three Mass Effects plus DLC.

Excuses, excuses. Wii U owners should be grateful, they got the privilege to buy a luxury product while the rest just got a cheap collection.

OT:

Seems like EA doesn't know their audience very well.

LOL, EA was just considered the worst gaming company of all time and they are trying to make excuse after the horrible version of Mass Effect 3 for wii U. Enough said

Ignoring the fact that the WiiU is selling so badly that some stores no longer stock it.

Sorry to target just you, but so many people in this thread are using the age old classic of "Yea, but your comments are worthless cause your crappy!". That doesn't work. Sure, EA are terrible, but they still have a point and their marketing being dire still does not change the view big publishers have on the WiiU; a dead kiddy console with no potential.

Dat unprecedented partnership...

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Can anyone tell me what was wrong with Mass Efeect 3?

EA probably made the worst effort... I mean seriously, I love everything Mass Effect, but there's no compelling reason to buy a game that was released over a year ago (At the time of the Wii U port), for full price... Especially when you release a Trilogy version of that game on other platforms. On what planet did they think that'd work?

This actually tells me something else about companies like EA... A lot don't want to make no effort trying to create something for suitable for a platform that does present itself differently from Sony or Microsoft's platform. They're lazy and don't want to take that risk in creating something that might translate into a hit with that perceived audience.

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

Nintendo is only paying for the way they treat the 3rd party producers. Nintendo easily forgot that they too were important for Wii's continuous success for years, but Nintendo thought they could just discard them and then go back for games every time they want. Bad decision after bad decision, consoles can't live without 3rd party support! Learn this for once and for all Nintendo!

The actual game was fine.

Oh well... Its not like their games are that playable on other platforms anyway... Maybe when they launch a game that's playable within the launch week/month, I can say I miss them

Hey man, Peggle 2 was good lol

Shame, I'm really enjoying Mass Effect 3. It WAS a solid effort. Kids is the wrong term, demographics however is correct. The AAA action, adventure, wrpg, football, soccer, 64 player online shooter crowd does NOT exist on the U.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine
