It will exceed those numbers, even if its not by much.

Yes, because it will be a better game, and sales = quality. Duh.

IMO the bold are the ones that are most likely to be closest to Mario Kart 8's sales (roughly 30% attach rate) |
That would be great news if it sold 10M. I want people to play with online, and this is looking to be a great MK. Hope it does well.

Hell yes.. I loved Block Fort in both Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart DS.

Another vote for bringing back N64 style battle mode with Block Fort and Double Decker.
OT: as with all these will U version of franchise X sell more than Gamecube version, it really depends on whether the Wii U ever actually gets off its lazy ass and starts selling. Kart should help but who knows if it will be enough.

I guess they will use the Double Deck stage in MK8, they've used one N64 battle stage in each MK since DS, and the Double Deck stage is the only one they haven't used yet. Block Fort is still my favourite though, but it isn't likely to be used this time. Double Deck is good.
But it will outsell MK64 if the total sales of the console surpasses around 30 million. Just a guess.
Yep.

At the rate the Wii-U is selling if MK8 manages 30% it would mean less then 5 million. Also the game launches on 3DS aswell, and there are still over 30 million wii's with Mario Kart out there. All of these facts will limit this games sales potential.
Personally i think it will do more than 5 million, but 7-8 million really seems like the high-end at this point.
