Will Mario Kart 8 outsell Mario Kart 64?

IMO the bold are the ones that are most likely to be closest to Mario Kart 8's sales (roughly 30% attach rate)

That would be great news if it sold 10M.  I want people to play with online, and this is looking to be a great MK.  Hope it does well.

At the rate the Wii-U is selling if MK8 manages 30% it would mean less then 5 million. Also the game launches on 3DS aswell, and there are still over 30 million wii's with Mario Kart out there. All of these facts will limit this games sales potential.

Personally i think it will do more than 5 million, but 7-8 million really seems like the high-end at this point.
