Both extrapolate data based on a set of data points

It is not clear how many data points habe in th us But NPD has used 4500 inputs for the whole phone os representation Let me tell you that they wont use much more for the hardware and software data.. Npd gospel is based on familairity due to being the old establised order Which is not logical!

NPD has more data, thus is more accurate

Yes, it extrapolates, but it extrapolates based on more data

But most importantly, both are estimates with errors. Really the numbers here should have error measurements attached, but we can't get everything

When the big 3 will quote Vgchartz numbers in their press releases, like they are now quoting NPD and GFK numbers, I will treat Vgchartz equally.

So VGChartzs is suddenly accurate and reliable? Give me a break just because they get tracking pretty close during the holidays isn't enough for me to suddenly switch gears and say they are up there with NPD.

They get more data. NPD simply have more funds/staff to go out there and get the data and thats why the numbers are generally regarded as "correct".

NPD numbers are still estimates, but they offer a better range of accuracy than VGChartz. VGC is growing slowly but surely... But for American numbers you arent gonna get more accurate than NPD anytime soon.

You 3 basicly follow the rest in nonsense we dont know from both parties the datapoints
And why would sony pay for vgc numbers if they are so wromg as yoj claim

Sony uses NPD in official PRs... that's alone says everything.

BTW VGC ajust sales based in NPD... everytime... next week you will see adjustments.
