Forums - Nintendo - Why the hell does the Internet have a vendetta against Nintendo?

You're totally dishonest here.

Closing a studio or selling US headquarter means nothing ( especially when you buy a bigger one in the same year -_- ) compared to such loss for nintendo.

It's normal to be more shocked by the Titan fall, same thing happened to Sony after PS2 generation, becoming the loser of the new generation when you were the king of last generation is currently something people want to talk about.

Sony posts $312 Million Loss, Playstation Stagnant: 1126 comments

I can go on, but in any case, why is selling a building or closing a studio not as impotant as not making forecasts? I also added the 'junk' status above.

I think people are confusing normal critism with "hate". I mean when VGC, Neogaf, N4G, 4Chan and youtubers have a massive amount of threads, videos or whatever about Nintendo, there has to be something going on here.

Nope, the majority of it is fair criticism or just generally reporting news. The "hate" or "vendetta" that people are referring to is no more than any other console or company receives or has received in the past, and so doesn't deserve any attention.

Did you check Neogaf yesterday? or 4Chan and N4G? most of those weren't news, they all were "arguments" as why Nintendo should go 3rd party, drop the Wii U completely, make mobile games, etc etc.

I'm not against criticism, but this has gone far beyond just normal criticism, they are not reporting news anymore. IGN articles about Wii U have over 10,000 comments combined, most of which are about how Nintendo sucks, Iwata is so stupid, etc. Check N4G comments, when someone says something "nice" about the Wii U it gets hundreds of downvotes. Check 4Chan, most comments are about Nintendo should ditch out completely the Wii U. The list goes on.

And no, this doesn't compared to what other people have said about other companies, not even close. Not even the PS3 was close to this, but like I mentioned above that is mostly because the internet is just bigger now.

I was mostly referring to VGC. Also, 4Chan and N4G really aren't the best sources to use.

pretty simple. Most of the human population has some type bully side to them. The bigger name you have the bigger target you have printed on you. Look at celebrities in the media. Lindsay lohan (or brit spears, or Amanda bynes) goes on a bender and falls from fame and no one (for a while) could stop talking about it. Anytime any celebrity has a fall from grace people eat it up. Game companies are the celebrities of the gaming world and no one, arguably, has a bigger name in the business than Nintendo. I'm sure they're 100s of indies that go under every year, but obviously very few people care because there's no big name to connect to. The gaming community would/will do the same thing if/when ms or sony falls on hard times. Remember the red ring of death fiasco? Nintendo is not singled out in the internet f(L)ame game, it's just the only a-lister hitting hard times right now. So, in summation, there isn't some kind of conspiracy against Nintendo. It's just people being people. We live in a fairly negative world with a society that has a big appetite for drama, but it is what it is and it's not changing anytime soon.

Most people enjoy bashing Nintendo because they don't respect their success, they don't respect their market decisions and most of all they hate their fans as being some form of sub-gamer that doesn't know games.

or

"Most people enjoy bashing Sony because they don't respect their success, they don't respect their market decisions and most of all they hate their fans as being some form of sub-gamer that doesn't know games."

again

"Most people enjoy bashing Microsoft because they don't respect their success, they don't respect their market decisions and most of all they hate their fans as being some form of sub-gamer that doesn't know games."

Take your pick,; thay all three get this EXAMPLE:

2,841,384 people are tired of Sony's bull$hit.

http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=sony_bull$hit

BUT, BUT SEE UNLIKE NINTENDO AND MICROSOFT , MANY ON THIS VERY BOARD THINK SONY AND THEIR FANBOYS DESERVE THE HATE. AND MANY SEEM TO THINK THY DO NOT GET ENOUGH HATE AS IS.

LOL

ALL THREE GET HATE!

I AM BOLO

100% lover "nothing else matter's" after that...

ps:

Proud psOne/2/3/p owner.  I survived Aplcalyps3 and all I got was this lousy Signature.

0 comments. Sony never got any FUD for losing $250 because looking at how many comments a story has is perfectly valid

Why you think I didn't use articles this old? Because IGN didn't became popular until 2010 or around that time. All IGN articles previous to 2010 have like 50 comments tops.

Bloodlust. Go visit Neogaf and count how many people are clamoring for Iwata's head. It's depressing. None of them can explain WHY they would want that. It's just satisfying in a primal human way to see others (higher-ups, in particular) fail.

Very much like politics, where most people are completely clueless about the actual topics - but they all love it when a politician has to step down and "take responsibility".

of course though, the question is this: how did this bloodlust accumulate in the first place? Are people honestly still THAT mad Nintendo decided to expand the gaming audience with the Wii? For the love of Buddha, it's been SEVEN YEARS.

If you are still mad that the Wii exists: YOU HAVE A PROBLEM.

If you are still mad that the Wii U exists: YOU HAVE A PROBLEM

If you are still mad that Nintendo makes entries in Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Pokemon, Smash Bros, Fire Emblem, Mario Kart, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Animal Crossing, etc: YOU HAVE A PROBLEM

If you are still mad that Iwata is the head of Nintendo: YOU HAVE A PROBLEM

If you are still mad that Nintendo hasn't put their games on other systems: YOU HAVE A PROBLEM

And if you think Nintendo has somehow slighted you in any way: YOU HAVE A PROBLEM

Seriously, I don't WANT to believe that the gaming community encourages holding creepy grudges against abstract entities that, at the end of the day, only affect that you have to buy certain things to use product, but that's REALLY the only conclusion I can come to, illogical as it is. And it's lack of feasible logic that gets me with this whole thing. There's just nothing about that kind of behavior I can really say is healthy or reasonable.
