The textures are low res in the test version people are playing. Respawn said they are 25% of the final version. My guess is because its a 3 days test and last thing people wanna do is spend all day downloading a 30+gb game.

Ohhhh I understand... thanks... that's explain why I thought the graphics are terrible in footage... that and the bad offcreen cam.

Zampella tends to focus on gameplay over graphics. The graphics only need to be good enough to prove the point.

I agree with you. I see nothing of note.

Its EA pressure on the media as usual.

Full price, no single player... yeah i really dont see what the fuss is about. You can run in walls and drop on some mechs. 60 bucks for that! Yeah... i dont get it.

Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Popular doesn't mean it appeals to everyone, just a lot of people. There is a reason why this game stole Destiny's thunder at E3. The kills in this game are going to be insane. Microsoft played it smart with EA in their deal to keep this game secure for one iteration. It solidifed my Xbox One purchase over PS4 purchase for sure.

If you say so. Theres alot of COD fans out there aswell. But at least that has a single player mode too.

I hope you dont come to regret your decision when you see cool stuff on the PS4 aswell. Also let me make a prediction for you since this is an Xbox exclusive. Those DLC maps, you are gonna have to pay some more for them aswell. If you think thats a good deal, props for you. Enjoy!

Based off the past several years COD and Battlefield would have been better if their resources put more focus into MP and less into their mediocore/poor SP.

For someone that plays online alot, its certainly worth it. For someone that doesnt, its a rip-off.

Perhaps a little overhyped but that comes as a bonus when hands-on impressions have been so good. Everyone who tried it is praising it. That must mean something.

It's a 95% Meta incoming and will be absolutely huge. Between all three versions it should reach 10 million in 2014 (and with the sequel likely being on PS4 it will grow to the extent of going head to head with COD in popularity).

Also the timing of release couldn't be more perfect by releasing so close after the disappointments with Call of Duty Ghosts, Battelfield 4 and Halo on a decline.

lol.  You keep saying this dont you mate.... I guess you will be right eventually, perhaps by Halo 9?

No chance.

1.) Halo as a series is on a slight decline, and gets fierce competition from COD.

2.) All software sales are down this late in the gen (TheSource could probably show those charts which say SW is down 20% on a yearly basis and that has to reflect on big titles as well).

3.) And there's not much time for having as long legs as say Halo 3 since Xbox 3 is only one year away and after that the interest in the X360 will rapidly decline.

So a realistic expectation is 9 million lifetime for Halo 4.

9 million already and still counting.  Tracking ahead of Halo 3 and there is no doubt it will have far higher digital sales already too.

It is on a decline though.

I heard only 20.000 people are playing Halo 4 online at any given moment while at the corresponding point in time 1 million was playing Halo Reach. It's not even in the top 10 of Xbox Live.

It's still a fairly big game but no longer a phenomenon and console mover. Titanfall will push down Halo even further.

Short answer: yes(like any other exclusive)

I do think it's underhyped, but that thread where someone called it "game of the generation" doesn't help. I'm seeing a lot of downplaying though especially online.

Well, I think is correctly hyped, not under nor over. I think TitanFall have the best reasons to hype a game in recent years...

a) Exclusivity of some kind (in this case, Microsoft platforms)
b) Considering "a"..., coming from a good company ("From the creators of Modern Warfare")
c) FPS genre (nowadays, most people just care about 2 genres...FPS and sport games, with some few exceptions like GTA or AC, and if you don't believe me see the charts and see how COD, BF4 and FIFA are the most selling games by far every year).

So yes..., it's hyped, but what game should be hyped in a new generation if not a game like this???

Yup, it's overhyped. Just like Uncharted.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
