Metroid fan actually. I also like Metal Gear Solid, but that's about it when it comes to non-Nintendo games. |

I don't hate. I just like different games than your average Playstation/XBOX fan.
They think it's childish that I like to play Mario. I think it's childish to play FPS. You know what I did when I was a little kid? Pretend I'm a soldier or a cowboy. I didn't pretend to be Mario, I'm not that imaginitive without shrooms.
XBOX/Playstation/PC all share pretty much the same game library.
Nintendo has the best exclusives for me. Then PC, then Sony and last XBOX.
I'm glad Nintendo's console isn't just a carbon copy like the PS3/XBOX360 were. People called them the HD TWINS for a reason you know. What would gamers miss out on if Microsoft never entered the gaming industry? Very little.
Better taste, they like to get a wider genera of games I guess I mean on the Xbox 360 you could play team fortress 2, half life 2, bordelands, cod, battlefield, halo all of them fps but they played completely differently each from the other and with a varity of art style same thing for open world games and plenty other genre of games.

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Now list me a good game. You really buy those sports titles that get yearly rehashes lol? Or AC? Or FPS? NFS? Yawn, yawn, yawn. I can get all these games on the pc. Not that I will. Oh no, my Watchdogs game will be 1% worser than yours! Just kidding, I've never even seen a vid of that game, so I don't know if it will be interesting. The Last of Us was litterally the only game that I liked by looking at youtube vids and my friends have a PS3, so I'll tell them to buy it if they haven't already lol. I'll play it there. Oh, and I find Final Fantasy to be so overrated. Yawn! Fire Emblem: Awakning and Xenoblade Chronicles are so much better. And the upcoming title from Monolith Soft looks extremely good. Sorry that you'll miss that one! And Lego games? That's even to childish for me man. |
You know that a lot of people have your very same attitude towards the nintendo efforts that you love right? Apparently the UK mostly feels this way. The only series nintendo has that I wish I could play on a regular basis is the Fire emblem series since I'm a big SRPG fan and those are just hard to come by. Besides those, the last ninty game I enjoyed was Killer Instinct which I spent 90% of my SNES playtime on. The Italian plumber again, another Zelda, pokemon and pikimin (why do these sound so much alike), etc...a yawnfest if you ask me.
"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)
"WAR is a racket. It always has been.
It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

A lot of people have never bothered to play Nintendo games(perhaps when they were kids) because they think it's too childish. I have played enough "mature" games to know I don't like a lot of them.
What's wrong with the Italian plumber? Galaxy was totally different than Sunshine. Super Mario 3D World was totally different than Galaxy. They're not rehashes, they all bring new elements into the franchise.
The new Mario Kart game also seems to be changing things up more than its predecessors. It just looks amazing.
Yearly sports titles and yearly COD games however are rehashes.
And I don't like every Zelda: I disliked Skyward Sword(ok game, but not amazing) while I loved ALBW. Turning into a painting is amazing for puzzlesolving. Definitely not a rehash of a Link to the Past.
edit: double post. Internet keeps disconnecting.

OP: I think UK is a "non-Nintendo" country. Wii/DS was eclipse.
