Nintendo products aren't really that popular here, they sell but no-one goes around asking
"you got a wii u?"
unlike the
"You got cod? xbox? Ps3?" etc.

As opposed to some Sony fans who buy the PS4 to play a slightly better FIFA14.

There's nothing crappy about Pikmin 3, Zelda: wind waker HD(I'm sure there's lot's of British people out there who haven't played it yet), Super Mario 3D World and Rayman Legends.

And for the 3DS we had Fire Emblem: Awakening, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Pokémon X/Y, The Legend of Zelda: a Link between Worlds, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, etc released this year.

But I guess they prefer to play Knack and Killzone?

Sony has a better base for nostalgia there than Nintendo. :P

But yes, they'd rather play "next gen" multiplats at the most affordable price, that's what's selling PS4s now rather than Knack or Killzone. The PS4 is simply a much better value than anything Nintendo sells and its incredibly narrow library with overpriced/underpowered hardware. Nintendo only sells supplementary consoles now days, consoles you only buy after you have a nice PC or Sony/Microsoft console.


I have a nice pc, but the last time I bought one of these "modern" games people are talking about it sucked and was filled with so many bugs and poorly optimized. And I'm not talking about a small game, it was Rome Total War 2. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything by not buying these "hardcore" multiplays.

I think the main readson is that over there you are born 40, thus they don't have kids or the adults innerchild that loves Nintendo games.

Its the lack of major sports franchises and fps games.
UK eats that shit up,
I know so many people who only play FIFA and CoD and buy the newest consoles purely for the "new" experiences of them games,

Wishful thinking. The iOS appstore alone had $10 billion revenue last year, most of the revenue comes from the games section.

the highest audience for smartphones and tablets is in USA, Japan. 

 

Cod and Fifa are the the reason why they are selling worse than anywhere!!

I think that sadly Nintendo have trouble shaking off the stigma that its "uncool". Uk gamers do love their COD and Fifa and see Nintendo as too kiddy for their liking. Such a shame as a lot of people are missing out on some genuinely good games :(
