During the Wii initial years, the sales spread like wildfire due to Wii Sports Party trend, people loving the experience and going out to buy it immediately. I didn't sell any Wii's since friends who did try it at my house already had one or weren't interested. I was able to get them interested in other games such as Zack&Wiki, Just Dance or Go Vacation.

But I was surprised how so far I have sold three WiiU's, which doesn't really correlate with the market so far.

• Sold a WiiU to an Australian VGCz member during the first European WiiU sale [link].
• Last fall to a workmate, after taking the console to work a few months back, he tried the Rayman demo. When Rayman Legends got released, he bought the console just for that game.
• And during the holidays, I left my second-nephews playing with Nintendo Land + Wii Party U. It was Nintendo Land that sold the console to them, a few days later I heard they bought the white console.

I convinced 2 of my xbox live buddies to get a Wii U. Both bought it for Monster Hunter.

My cousin came over and played Pikmin 3, he purchased a Wii U on black friday. Though, I think he would have purchased the system eventually anyway.

I have 3 friends that come over every weekend and play video games with me, they liked the system enough after playing it to purchase one.

A friend of mine likes it but he doesn't have the money to buy one right now. He comes over to my house to play local multiplayer games a lot though.

I did sell one though, kind of... It was a friend who was going to buy it anyway as he is a hardcore Nintendo fan but I told him it was too awesome to wait and he bought it!

I was sold by JL's epic thread and i have no regrets, but i havent convinced any of my friends because they are either Sony or Xbox fanboys.

This console war man...Vaas would be proud.

I have never seen a Wii U with my own eyes. Neither the console, nor the box. It just doesn't exist over here and by "over here" I mean the 6th economy of the EU. Ridiculous. You can't sell something that doesn't exist.

0, not alot of people I know seem interested in the Wii u. Havent seen anything in person or any social media sites. However my brother was interested in it. He doesnt have much time and just wants to play something fun with out an engaging/ deep  story and characters. Something he can easily pick up and put  down so i tried to get him to buy one. I recommended the new mario and he was really thinking about it. 

But....he backed down once I told him the price :(

Was really hoping he would buy one so I wouldn'thave to buy one later lol.

My best friend is an Xbox gamer and he laughed at the fact that I purchased a Wii U at first. I slowly convinced him to get back into Nintendo, he first bought a 3DS a few months ago which he loves and helped with convincing him to get a Wii U recently.

I am not sure if he is still wanting the Xbox one, but at least he is enjoying his Wii U.

I try to get my brother in-law to purchase more multiplatform games on the wii u.
