To play in LAN is very popular, like big internet cafés. Most places have hundereds but sometimes thousands of PC's, and people play MMORPG or FPS. Playstation would appeal to china way before xbox./
China is a huge country in both surface area and population, however, as a console market; it's insignificant. Even at ten times Japan's population, they probably buy less than one tenth as many consoles.
People getting excited for consoles launching in China and India are in for a rude awakening.

?? Still not new, having more commands is not new, and please it's laughable anyone is going to buy m a console over voice commands, that have been around for years and do not work as well as the older standard method .

Not any time soon. But just from an economic/cultural aspect it could easily become the biggest market.
I don't think Nintendo or Sony will struggle much because they're Japanese unless the government puts some rules in place that will hinder those consoles.
A lot of Chinese like Japanese culture so they will happily play Japanese games.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

The first console manufacturer through this process appears to be Microsoft, who are reportedly planning on releasing the Xbox One in China in late 2014.
Microsoft will be teaming up with Funshion, a Chinese VOD service in the vein of Netflix and Hulu. Funshion is owned by BesTV, who Microsoft recently announced that a partnership to bring “family games and related services” to China. The two companies have yet to announce what they are specifically working on, but they have spent nearly $80 million so far.

Because they said so?? What are there plans?? Sorry that's jus fud until we see something concrete, how do you know where sony is at versus MS?? Sony is not going to talk about it until there is somethign concrete to talk about.
MS won;t sell anything worthwhile there, neither one will, but sony has the best chance to sell more, ms has nothing of interest to that market, heck outside the US ms doesn;t sell well period.
Sony already sells in hong long and taiwan.
