China not liking Japan actually has some relevance. I mean they reallllly don't like Japan (and vice verse I believe)

MS are full steam ahead in developing the Xbox One for china, Sony 'are not currently pursuing" it.

We'll see, might be big, might be a damp squib.

Been using voice on PS4 since launch and playing bluray since my PS3 in 2009, my tablet for years, and my phone... NEW right?

I post here the opinion of a member who lives in China (wangjingwanjia):

For China it's 99% PC gaming, if we talk stationary type of gaming. To play in LAN is very popular, like big internet cafés. Most places have hundereds but sometimes thousands of PC's, and people play MMORPG or FPS.

The price where I go sometimes is 10RMB(something like €1/$1) for 3 hours. It includes PC with headset and pre-installed games. You can also install or download other games if you ask first.

Below is an example, I think could be like 80-100 PC's in there. Not very big place and not too small. The place I go to have more like 300-500 PC's.


When it comes to console gaming I would say that the minority that do buy it I think PlayStation is the most used brand. Nintendo and Xbox are more rare but do exist. The easiest to find in Beijing are PS3 and Wii. And it's easier to find a PS4 than WiiU or Xbox One. When it comes to console games I think most will buy NBA, FIFA and PES. The football and basketball games. And I think also some of the big titles like Uncharted, Killzone or so will sell.

In Hong Kong the console market is much bigger than in mainland China, and I think also here PlayStation is the biggest brand. But I can't say too much about this market.
