On the bright side at the very least he's got an extra Blu-Ray player. It also just occured to me it's a shame that we can't hook up consoles together like we can video cards haha. I could genuinely see people having multiple console setups of the same kind if they could get a performance benefit by linking them.

Here is my little anecdote.

My brother and I have always been gamers since the first time we played a PC game and later got the original Nintendo Entertainment System. We have always enjoyed the same types of games, same consoles and so on. We were both huge fans of Sony consoles and PC gaming. This all changed when our preferences split during the PS3/Xbox360 era of gaming. I stayed a serious PC gamer who enjoyed the PS3 exclusives while he shifted entirely to Xbox360 and practically shunned the PC and his Playstation heritage. Side note: he had gone through 5 Xbox360's while my OG 60GB PS3 is still kicking strong, I always use this argument with him ad when talking about the superior PS3, we are natural rivals I am not a fanboy, just a fan.

I was looking at the sales figures and noting how again how Xbox Ones are available pretty much everywhere under the sun and even under some rocks now and this made me think of my poor brother. He hosted Thanksgiving this year at his house and of course had to show off his brand new Xbox One and how cool it was to use Voice Commands through Kinnect (which did not work well).  Then he bragged about how he had a cool DayOne edition and then pointed over to a second Xbox One that he purchase to sell later for profit. He was oh so very gleeful at the prospect of his goldmine in a green box. 

Well, my poor brother, he still has his goldmine in a green box sitting in the same corner collecting dust while plays his DayOne edition. Unless something changes in the market and Xbox Ones supply becomes extremely strained again, my poor brother will be stuck without his profits. Let's all give a moment of silence for his loss.

Your second line just opened a can of worms. Who are you to say how serious I am based on what I own? So only people with a lot of disposable income/time on their hands deserve such a title? If so, that sounds like a title I wouldn't be proud of.  What if say, some lead busy lives and only have the time and money dedicated for fun to be on one gaming device that caters to their interests the most? 360 had many of the past gens biggest games, so I could and was a serious gamer in the last several years.

Xbox 360 as a single console had it all: huge digital library, multiplats, Xbox exclsuives, but also the famous (or infamous) 360/PC games. This doesn't require me or others to buy a PC gaming rig. I can say I have had little desire to game elsewhere last gen because 360 covered all bases pretty well.

Now ask a gamer who prefers PS3, and you will find it rare that they just used a PS3. Huh.....look at that. You are a all-around gamer so you are not part of the mix.
