I play on... Windows, Mac, PS3, PS4, XBox360, iOS, Android, Vita....it's not the platform that matters, its the games, and gamers play them where they can. No problem with having a preference. I prefer Sony, but i got an Xbox to play dead rising and alan wake... because they are games I want to play. Saying that Xbox users differences run deeper than people may think from that paragraph is the most stupid thing i have read in a while.

Your second line just opened a can of worms. Who are you to say how serious I am based on what I own? So only people with a lot of disposable income/time on their hands deserve such a title? If so, that sounds like a title I wouldn't be proud of.  What if say, some lead busy lives and only have the time and money dedicated for fun to be on one gaming device that caters to their interests the most? 360 had many of the past gens biggest games, so I could and was a serious gamer in the last several years.

Xbox 360 as a single console had it all: huge digital library, multiplats, Xbox exclsuives, but also the famous (or infamous) 360/PC games. This doesn't require me or others to buy a PC gaming rig. I can say I have had little desire to game elsewhere last gen because 360 covered all bases pretty well.

Now ask a gamer who prefers PS3, and you will find it rare that they just used a PS3. Huh.....look at that. You are a all-around gamer so you are not part of the mix.

Get him a Wii-U with a number of bright colourful (but fun) games. It'd be a hilarious experiment when he fights the urge to drift back to it.

I have 3 friends that have both consoles and 2 of them say the xbox one is better. Some games the PS4 had load times while the same games on XB1 didn't. They said the XB1 is actually faster overall and I beleive them all because none of them are fanboys. Some of their thoughts conclude: GDDR is great for video cards but not necessarily faster for using it as system memory. The PS3 had a better CPU, but it had a weaker GPU and that didn't stop games from being good.  What good is maximum bandwidth when each core can only communicate at much lower bandwidth?  Its great for marketing. 

What I can't understand why Sony went with 2.4ghz wifi (only ) radio .. except to make it CHEAP.. while XB1 offers 5Ghz ( and 2.4Ghz ).. Newer routers offer 5Ghz channels and on my Asus Im able to get far superior connections speeds.
