Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Left Online Out Of Super Mario 3D World To Deliver The "NES" Experience - O_0

while i would always prefer to play local when i can...

...unless the game ships with a lifetime bus pass that allows my best friend and i to easily commute that 150 miles distance between us nintendo can go fuck itself. i outgrew you when you refused to grow the fuck up and deliver experiences relevant to today.

Question: Do any of you think that 3D World would sell better with online multiplayer?

I say no, it wouldn't make any difference. It's not the type of game that people log in to play competitively. Mario Kart is, Smash is, not a Mario action game.

Yes, because it'd add the game's overall value and increases replayability, meaning people will play it longer allowing for more word of mouth to spread.

Co-operative play is a thing too, and you can play both ways in 3D World thanks to the game keeping track of scores.

Personally I feel thats a lame excuse, they shouldshould at least give people the option.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

not just 3D world, the entire wiiU platform would be selling better if nintendo investing in their online platform.  a lack of a competent online service is the #1 reason gamers around the world don't give a shit about wiiU and are buying up ps4s and xbones in record setting numbers.

i multiplayer focused game that i can't play multiplayer because my best friends live 150 miles from me is worthless to me.

Right, but just because you can add multiplayer to a game, doesn't mean you should.  Zelda could have multiplayer on horseback, but it would be less fun than the main adventure, and thus take resources away from making a better single-player game.  I think it's best to have great multiplayer features for games that focus on multiplayer, like racers and fighters.  Play to your strengths.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

It's pretty obvious Nintendo doesn't put online in their platformers because of the great importance of 60fps. Timing and momentum can be heavily interrupted when playing online. Even Ubisoft didn't do it with Rayman Legends. Nintendo isn't going to force something because we want it. It has to work too. If you enjoy forced online options, there's always Sony/Microsoft and many other third party developers.

Yeah because its not possible to have a 60fps online game, oh wait. "Forced online"  this either or mentality *facepalm*

lol, 3D World is a multiplayer focused game! It was made with multiplayer in mind! That's the game we're talking about here! Besides, Luigi's Mansion 2 already proved that you can still have a solid single player experience even with separate multiplayer modes.

Damn you Nintendo, you always take away options away from gamers. no wonder everyone says you are out of touch with today's market. Fuck you Nintendo, I'm going with Sony, their hardcore multiplayer games are where the cool guys are.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

thats a lame and shitty excuse. but not surprising anymore from them either.
