If you mean that "hardcore" are those gamers who only care about shooting/gore, photorealistic graphics and M-content, then no, the WiiU is not for the hardcore ( I personally think that those gamers should be called dumbcore and not hardcore )

now, if you agree with me and consider "hardcore" gamers those who actually like to find different gaming experiences, who give more value to creativity and gameplay rather than visuals and who love games that offer a challenge, then definetely the WiiU has a lot to offer to that audience
