MS didn't need to send them in secret. This is the first christmas for the X1 and the preorders for the thing were huge, so retailers expecting very high demand ordered everything they could get, I don't know whats so hard to believe about this. Demand still is very high in the US (not necessarily so much in Europe) it's just not as high as retailers and MS believed it would be this christmas. I still believe that launching in a couple more countries could have only ended positively for MS.

I meant to say its impressive how they can manufacture more x1's than sony can manufacture ps4s, when apparently sony is having trouble meeting demand being a hardware company and all.

Actually no Sony is manufacturing more but is spread thin due to having 3x the county availability as Xbox.

And it isn't impressive at all either way....you contact a manufacturer and you strike a contract. No biggie.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Still could't Put my hands on XO coz it Seems to be delayed Forever in Switzerland.
Being Impressed so far by the XO Sales Numbers After all that hatred. But it would be pretty much funny to See if Sales Numbers were the Same with he Old Family Sharing, DRM, aleays on policy. I Tend to say i believe it would'nt be a Big difference, Maybe still two and a half Million.

I completely forgot to take into account the fact that they released on Nov. 22. To move that many consoles at that price is more than impressive. The thing's an amazing success.

Well I'd say the people being vocal about what they didn't like about the X1 after its reveal made the console take a few 180s and become something that people can accept in their home and support. If people hadn't been vocal and just effectively walked away when they were dissappointed there is no way the system would be over 3million sales now.

People Cried, Microsoft listened and reacted. Good Job both parties I say.


Indeed, Microsoft are a lot more eager to please their customers than many seem to believe. Their customer service is known to be world class and the way they handled the RROD issue is unprecedented in the history of consumer electronics.
