VERY embarassing if you look into the population of each area.

Vita's US is Wii U's Europe. Lights out for both. Focus on where you have a chance.

I dont mind the vita getting more indy games, but they shouldn't be the only one's supply games for it from NA.
Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Sony backing the PS4 now while they are content with Vita limping along.
Sony fans care more about console sales then handheld ones anyway, its win-win.
If SCEA actually tried to convince SCEJ to localize more games and some of those great AAA games that are exclusive to Japan, over here, im sure we would see much better sales...

It's honestly hard to pin-point exactly what would work to appeal to the NA audience. But Capitalizing a bit more on the success of the PS4 might help a bit if Sony would consider dedicating a small percentage of it's marketing for PS4 to bringing the Remote Play feature to light because I feel like some people are still not aware of it.
Also, the Vita of course needs some more serious powerhouse games from established devs and franchises to help it pick up in sales.
Personally, I want to see more JRPG support because that's where my interests lie, though that can't be said for the mass market, but it would still be nice. Like if Namco could consider localizing Tales of Innocence R and Tales of Hearts R (even if it's english text with Japanese voices and download only, I'd be satisfied) and if Square Enix could release Final Fantasy Type-0 for it, that would be wonderful. Again, that's more of a personal thing, but I think it could still help a bit.

To be honest, I don't condone what they've done but I do understand it. It's an absolute uphill battle to sell a dedicated handheld in the US market in 2013 and SCEA decided, some time towards the end of last year (possibly after a Black Friday with plenty of offers where they managed 'just' 160k) that it wasn't worth the money.
That's a shame, because SCEE have shown that you can sell a non-Nintendo handheld in the west, but the numbers for Europe aren't even that great really. I mean, I'm happy it's selling 70k and not 30k, but it could be better.
Should've pushed Killzone harder though, that's one thing I don't understand. It's a very well made FPS and would have helped in the US if they'd bundled it (especially instead of the pointless Walking Dead bundle), but I guess they gave up too long ago.
I only hope this doesn't mean the end of WWS support from the American teams, because those are Yoshida's decisions rather than Tretton's. Even though Yoshida seems to be making stranger and stranger decisions as time goes on.
Blaming only SCEA would be diminutive and kinda mean.
It's a fact that americans don't have the same buying habits than european and japanese, plus they did great job this year with marketing (They changed their marketing division, didn't they ?)
