Media Markt, which is Europe’s largest retailer of consumer electronics, is now selling off its Wii U stock for a mere 99 Euros in Belgium. Media Markt is a German chain of stores selling consumer electronics with numerous branches throughout Europe and Asia. The chain has joined Dick Smith in Australia which ditched of all their Wii U consoles and accessories at 50 percent off a few months ago.

This is only in Hasselt for only 1 day. Not every Media Markt store in Belgium. They are getting rid of their Nintendo Land Deluxe bundles, most likely to make way for new bundles this year.

While €99 is a great price, I don't think they expected this many people to show up.

Good price!

I wonder how much they had in stock and how many people returned empty-handed.

You have to ask yourself  - why are they going for such a low price? It's because the WiiU is failing in Europe.

Maybe I'm not seeing right, but aren't more people taking PS3s rather than Wii Us? Did they have a deal on them as well?

No. People are there for the Wii U @ 99 Euros (lol why would there be such a stampede for PS3? XD ) There are PS3s there too, yes, but if you watch it you can actually see one guy throw down a PS3 box in frustration and anger, and a lot of others lifting up boxes to see if they're Wii Us. The ones that did manage to get a Wii U are holding on to them and moving off. One of the guys in the vid is also talking about how there haven't been any Wii Us in there for a while anymore, yet all those people keep coming and looking (I'm Dutch).

DAYUM!!!! I'd get it for 99 euros.
is media markt trying to mess up Pachter's prediction? lol

Watch and learn Nintendo...

I would have bought a second one if we got that deal here. but as others have said it's only in one place so it does not look like they are dropping support rather it is an offer like a black Friday deal
