South Park was a crude show that I didn't like (except for the World of Warcraft episode), so I would imagine I'd feel the same way about the game.

Diablo 3 I've heard people go insane rage quit mad about since it released and I don't like pay to win games and again another you verse a bunch of demons game (BORING!).

Dying Light, I have no clue what this is so no opinion.

 

Other than the FPS genre, the rest of these genres I still enjoy, I'm just sick of the constant nudity and redundant storylines (centered around demons, werewolves, and vampires). I watched someone play LA Noire until there was a scene where a woman was totally naked and dead on the floor, then I walked away. Games and movies think they have to have F bombs and boobs in order to be successful and it's just sad and is one of the reasons I generally avoid Microsoft and Sony games.

A very ignorant post that also shows that you've probably lost connection to the real world if you think that rape scenes in a detective game are just there to please male Sony/MS gamers.


What specifically am I being ignorant about? I gave reasons for why I don't care for each of these games. I didn't just say I don't like them, I had reasons. So which of these reasons are you claiming makes me ignorant?

I never said that those games were targeting male gamers. That being said, I do think they are. It's the same thing with slasher porn movie industry (which has a very high male demographic), teenage/early 20 gamers like to see naked women in violent settings. It's disgusting and I really don't know why you would disagree with this. Developers are trying to make money, which means ANYTHING they put in a game is an attempt to gain more sales. If they didn't think having a naked girl (at least one) in that game would increase sales, I doubt they would do it. This means that at the very least in the eyes of developers male gamers like seeing these sorts of things. 

In your first post you said you don't like any of those games even though you admitted that you know nothing about Dying Light and Infamous. None of them are shooters.

MGSV is a stealth game and not a shooter either.

Fans of Diablo 3 were made because of the unfinished state of release and the auction house. That has been solved and the auction house is closing. Both problems weren't in the console version to begin with.
Could also be attributed to a lack of knowledge. But I accept that you don't like demon stories and so on, even though I don't even think they're that frequent.

Final Fantasy games have great stories of their own. You can't tell me that you were interested in this pack if you knew that all "30" (quite a bit less) were connected in some way, without playing the other "29" games before it.

And again it's called realism. Rape is a crime and a very common one at that. Not putting something like that in a detective game would've been extremely unrealistic. If the game was about 20 crimes in which a black one shoots a white guy, it would be terribly boring. So it's obvious to include more types of crimes.

February and March are absolutely going to destroy my wallet. I'm actually contemplating not buying a single game between now and then just so I can save up some money and buy as much as I can as close to release as possible:

February 14th - Danganronpa (PSV); Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)
February 21st - Ys: Memories of Celceta (PSV)
February 28th - Tales of Symphonia Chronicles (PS3)
March 7th - Atelier Escha & Logy (PS3)
March 21st - Final Fantasy X/X2 HD (PSV)

And that's not counting the other "early" 2014 games yet to be dated like Sorcery Saga & Demon Gaze.

I'd really like to buy Ground Zeroes but I just can't justify a paid demo like that, unfortunately. I'm hoping the content comes with Phantom Pain, otherwise I'll just pick it up down the road.

I'd also like InFAMOUS, but I'm going to need a PS4 first :P

Don't think it has a release date.  People were saying "after March" because Ubisoft pushed the game back to the next financial year (i.e. after March 31st), I think.

1. I made it clear that those two games were exceptions, but still not knowing anything about them doesn't make me anticipate their release. I could very well like them for all I know. Also, I didn't claim all those games were shooters (I was specifically talking about Titanfall and in some respect MGS).

2. My main complaint against D3 was the story, as I pointed out earlier and you accepted. Moving on...

3. I really do like story continuty. It's one of my biggest annoyances about most Mario games (love the gameplay, hate the stories) because most of them act as if the previous ones didn't exist. The exceptions to this rule are the Mario and Luigi games (all 4) and the Paper Mario games (all 4) which refer back to the previous games frequently and build the story and the world more. With Final Fantasy, each number (more or less) refers to a totally different world, setting, characters, and plot. It would make much more sense to me if they called each game something different instead of saying Final Fantasy 17-XII HD and so on.

4. I have no issue with a detective trying to solve a rape/murder in a videogame. I do have an issue with being forced to look at naked bodies. You could EASILY solve that crime without having to see the naked body.
