Yes, I did.

I brought Dead Rising 3 to a friend of mine and we played the game. I wanted to show him the story mode and when I logged in, the Xbox One used my saved games from the cloud and I was able to continue my way through the story on his Xbox One. This took about 10 seconds and the console did it automatically.

Sure, cloud savings are nothing spectacular new, but this was the first time I ever used it and it became quite handy.

Cloud gaming will really shine in the next 1-3 years. Nobody expected launch games to use this technology to the fullest.

You could do this on PS3.  LOL you people...

could you at least try to read the freaking thread? LOL you people...

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Not really anything to defend, just facts to lay down... Fact is working cloud solution front m cold storage to active computing are very real and working infrastructure that don't need any defending.... The real question is how and when will they efficiently implement and exploit it in gaming on Xbox... Last time I check most games don't even attract more than 10% of the user base... I can guaranty you that more than 10% of the Xbox user base has more a 100mbps under 20ms latency connections TODAY and those will have gbps connections and latency under 10 before the end of the Gen... Heck I know I'll have mine within the next 18 months.. Those are the facts, ignore them if you want, they are still facts... Making a cloud required game will be just as viable than an online only game like titanfall before the end of the Gen...

To be fair, this is nothing new. Diablo 3, which many played as single player needed an active connection with streaming of some of the assets from the Blizzard servers. My current gripe is that for all the marketing talk, none of the X1 games have made any further use out of the cloud computing than PC games and MMOs were a few years ago.

Not really. Cloud does support the Xbox One, but I wish it was Cid the one supporting it instead.

Microsoft has a cloud service called Azure (it’s a real thing – you can go on their website right now and pay for servers and use them to run whatever you want). Microsoft realized that they could use that technology to solve our problem.

So they built this powerful system to let us create all sorts of tasks that they will run for us, and it can scale up and down automatically as players come and go. We can upload new programs for them to run and they handle the deployment for us. And they’ll host our game servers for other platforms, too! Titanfall uses the Xbox Live Cloud to run dedicated servers for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.

But it’s not just for dedicated servers – Microsoft thought about our problem in a bigger way. Developers aren’t going to just want dedicated servers – they’ll have all kinds of features that need a server to do some kind of work to make games better. Look at Forza 5, which studies your driving style in order to create custom AI that behaves like you do. That’s totally different from what Titanfall uses it for, and it’s really cool! So it’s not accurate to say that the Xbox Live Cloud is simply a system for running dedicated servers – it can do a lot more than that

With the Xbox Live Cloud, we don’t have to worry about estimating how many servers we’ll need on launch day. We don’t have to find ISPs all over the globe and rent servers from each one. We don’t have to maintain the servers or copy new builds to every server. That lets us focus on things that make our game more fun. And best yet, Microsoft has datacenters all over the world, so everyone playing our game should have a consistent, low latency connection to their local datacenter.

Most importantly to us, Microsoft priced it so that it’s far more affordable than other hosting options – their goal here is to get more awesome games, not to nickel-and-dime developers. So because of this, dedicated servers are much more of a realistic option for developers who don’t want to make compromises on their player experience, and it opens up a lot more things that we can do in an online game.

This is a really big deal, and it can make online games better. This is something that we are really excited about. The Xbox Live Cloud lets us to do things in Titanfall that no player-hosted multiplayer game can do. That has allowed us to push the boundaries in online multiplayer and that’s awesome. We want to try new ideas and let the player do things they’ve never been able to do before! Over time, I expect that we’ll be using these servers to do a lot more than just dedicated servers. This is something that’s going to let us drive all sorts of new ideas in online games for years to come.

I know this got pretty technical and long-winded, so I thank you for reading this far. Hopefully I’ve cleared some things up, and you can see why I’m so excited about what Microsoft has done here and how it is letting us do awesome new things for our game. I’ll see you online in the spring to play some Titanfall on our dedicated servers!

Respawn ?

The studio that got moneyhated to make a microsoft exclusive title ?

Seems a legit opinion =)

Moneyhat seems to make alot of Sony fans feel better. Respawn were not moneyhatted originally. They chose the platform that made Online gaming and moving that forward a reality. Sony's network is not up to the challenge currently at least as far as moving things forward. After Microsoft realised Titanfall is a killer app with media, they secured the first title.

It's pretty awesome at it's state so far. When 'Cloud Masturbation' becomes a reality, I will enjoy it even more. Never heard of 'Cloud Masturbation'? Well let me tell you. It's a concept where you just think it, then the information gets sent to the Cloud. The Cloud will fap away for you and then send the climax data back and BAM, it blew your load for you. Your wrists had to endure no pain. Xbone will earn it's nickname and wear it proudly.

VGChartz♥♥♥♥♥FOREVER

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

will be tryign soon as i just ordered xbone with 5 games and a ps4 with killzone as my holiday trip ended lol

What I meant was Microsoft are offering a new online infrastructure that Sony cant even dream to match. Even with Gaikai servers. They are WAYYYYYYYY behind. Titanfall could be done on PS4 currently, but gimped. Not in its current state. Respawn said many times, they chose Xbox One because Microsofts online structure and Cloud allowed answers to moving online gaming forward. Not just another MAG or Online part of COD.

IMO. Sony are in trouble 2016 onwards. When people see the real power of Cloud processing. Microsoft has in the pipeline for 2015 some serious cloud games. Which will change the dynamics of the generation. A few insiders are starting to spill. E3 2014 is gonna be epic.
