Raising the AI difficulty in these games only makes them drive faster. It doesn't alleviate the main issue, which is that they are programmed to stick to shitty racing lines no matter what. It's one thing that non sim racers have over these games.. the AI are much less predictable.

Put that in GT6 on the highest difficulty setting and the exact same thing happens.

Behold the power of the cloud and next gen racing.

Anyway there is online if you want unpredictable (bad) driving. The AI is made to simulate actual professional racing, not destruction derby or dealing with parked cars. (That's not even GT6 AI btw, I tried to hold them off to re-arange traffic for the win from 3rd in a tournament trophy, they do find their way around you) They sure don't give up easy in IA events, big step up from GT5. I've only seen the AI spin out on it's own once, but they have plenty different driving lines and will stick like glue and pass you when they have a chance.

I see a video where the car eventually got out of the mess. In the GT6A video I posted, they didn't. And it's just as bad in the actual GT6 game itself.

Sorry, but aggressive racing does not have to mean destruction derby. This happened because in GT6, like all GT games, the AI follows racing lines at all costs. As you can see in the video, the cars would rather veer right back into the parked car instead of simply driving around it, because the pre-determined racing line has such a high priority for the AI. Imagine playing a shooter and there's a building with 4 doors and you stand in one and the AI just stands there because they don't understand there are 3 other doors. That's bad AI.

You only prove my point by telling me you've seen AI spin out once. And that's supposed to simulate "professional racing" as you said? You're going to spin out or go off the track or get in accidents when you're actually racing. You're not going to do any of that when you're just racing through a track in a straight line "sticking like glue".

Anyways I just wanted to post that video because of the responses to selnor when he posted an actual use for the cloud, like improving AI. Someone told him to turn the difficulty up, just wanted to correct that because the AI is dumb as soup no matter what the setting is. Excuses for GT's shit AI or a video of a car spinning out and getting back into the race in F5 doesn't change any of that.

Well on the PS side of the cloud, instead of simply displaying the last time my friends logged in, I now get to sift through tons of status updates. The automatic display of your friends' ghost trails in GT6 is a nice cloud feature, oh wait that's not even the right gen...

Thats not cloud processing. Or remotely the same thing.

If that's not cloud processing or remotely the same thing, than neither is the Forza drivatar. Just saying.

So not Cloud Processing then. This is much more like Ouya. Streaming the game to PS4. So PS4 is not processing anything at all. Streaming it as a video file. This is exactly what Gaikai is. A steaming service. Its not a processing server.

It's like Onlive, not Ouya. Besides that you are correct. It baffles me when PS guys try to act like Gaikai is the Sony equivalent to the cloud. Um no, Sony has an actual cloud for that. Gaikai is just for game streaming. It's launching next year by streaming PS1, PS2, and PS3 games to the PS4.

BULLSHIT!!!

I did the test just to see if that happen and it won't... I tried a lot of times and the max I could manage is stop two car for few minutes because the other cars just deviated (some even get out of the track to manage that).

BTW that's not a GT6 video lol and I don't have the GT Academy Demo to make this test but in GT6 you won't manage to have this situation.

Steps I did:

1. Choose Single-Player
2. Choose the track
3. Choose the car
4. Changed the AI to Professional
5. Tried to stop the cars going in reverse like the video

BULLSHIT!!!

Why do you keep saying it's not GT6? Try reading my post more carefully. (hint: "put that in GT6 = I know it is not GT6 it is the GT6 Academy which is essentially the same thing, hope that helps)

And yes, it works in GT6. Sorry if you aren't good enough to pull it off. Only the Lord of GT would sit and defend the franchises garbage AI. Not going to spend another second talking about it LOL.

Because the guy in the video is not playing GT6.

And no... you can't... I challenge you to do that... I tried and AI cars just take another way to avoid the stopped car... with a lot of lucky I could stop two car for five seconds... the others cars all passed us (some even got out the track to manage that) and the two stopped cars did  a little reverse and after that continue the race avoind me.

lol you can't do that in GT6... at least in Professional AI.

That video is not representing finished GT6 AI, see top left of the screen, Academy 2013.
Comparing a racer with a shooter? really? There is no concept of doors in a racing game. Well except when the AI tries to take shortcuts like in that Forza 5 video.

What I meant with sticking like glue is, that they stay right behind me without bumping into me (unless I start behaving crazy), then pass me when they see a legal opportunity. The AI is hardly shit, or dumb as soup. At least it doesn't drive into walls.

Well Dead Rising is only 2 player Co-Op so doesn't really need Dedicated Servers, EA Owns their own and most games out are EA right now, Halo will use Dedicated servers, Peggle doesn't need dedicated, Cod uses it's own, Sunset Overdrive will be using the cloud and I assume dedicated servers along with Fable Legends

Found this also..... As for Killer Instinct, they use something called GGPO, which uses an input delay setup. Input delay (as seen in all the Halo campaigns) keeps things way more in sync, since the host/server will only send the next frame's data after the data for every player had been collected and simulated.

Using Dedicated for DR3 and Killer Instinct would be a waste of resources, there only two player online games and hardly need them, Ryse is also only two player co-op so again it would be a waste, I've played Ryse online aswell and not had lag once so again it doesn't need them Lol

Dedicated servers will only be used mainly on first party Ip games that are more than 2 player co-op, But again it's up to the developers, I'm guessing Crytek, Double Helix, Capcom know that it would be a waste to use dedicated on them, EA & Acitivion don't need free dedicated off Microsoft if they have there own

MS told me "dedicated servers for all multiplayer games"

PS. Everybody know that won't happen at all.

Going by the definition you were using for dedicated servers in an argument I had with you in another thread every game for Xbox One will have dedicated servers.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Lol I love people claming cloud features are a marketing myth... It's about as accurate than 15th century people insisting earth is flat and the globe is a myth... It's not because it's not used on XBox one yet or accessible to everybody just yet that the thing is not real.... I expect to have a 1Gbps connection with an under 10ms latency by the end of the decade minimum....
and the cloud is already really real today... Fact is almost all my CPU equipped devices rely on it one way or an other.... But yeah it's marketing BS... Mouarf

Cool....story.....about....myths.....and...clouds.....now...about...that...sentence...structure...

whatever floats your boat mister Flintstone.... Cloud solution is there and its real... Xbox one is just trying to use more efficiently something that is quite old now... And some us have the infrastructure available to use it quite efficiently or will have it way before the end of the Gen... So yeah cool story for some of us.. Sucks for other that are a decade behind...
