Forums - Sales - December 2013 will face adjustments based on the trend

Taken the 3DS for example sept/oct/nov have been its best of its lifetime but its december is terribly low even with one week more to go.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

You expect 3DS numbers to go up?

I see it otherwise.

I expect it to be over tracked in december as well, but whatever.

@pezus since when is 2.1 lower then 1.7?

I don't know, VGC has been really good at tracking lately. Props to them, numbers should be close, a bit overtracked I think.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

My theory is that due to november NPD vgc is lowballing 3DS numbers to be on the safe side

If xbox one sold over 2 million weeks ago and the ps4 sold 2.4 million in the same period. Do anyone else think that the xbox one only sold 300,000 in 3+ weeks during xmas period? Xbox seems very undertracked here on this site.

Far as I can tell the 2million was reported on Dec. 11th which means that it's been a week and a half of reported data on VGC since then ending at 2.4million.  So about 400,000 in a week and a half which seems pretty reasonable with an average of 266,000 per week since that time.

PS4 2.4 million was on Dec. 3rd which means it has had 2 and a half weeks and has sold to 3.4million since then averaging about 400,000 per week in that time.

Breaking each down by day for giggles in that time frame since the last confirmed number Xbox One has averaged 40,000 units per day while PS4 has averaged 55,0000 units per day.

Regardless the Xbox One does not have only 300,000 sold in the last 3+ weeks.

Correction. It sold 2.1m in 2013, while still being overtracked vs. 2m in 2012. Now Japan is down in December pretty heavily so why wouldn't it be down? It seems to be up in the West.

it sold 1.7 mil in 2012
