Maybe, maybe not, we'll find out this quarter if they give a breakdown.  If it does include early shipments of the 2DS the numbers are even further off though.  It wasn't available to purchase until after October 5th, so if hypothetically there were 200k 2DS units shipped by September 30th, then VGC numbers would be an additional 200k overtracked.

However I would lean towards it not being included in that quarter.

Well let me start by saying that for instance nintendo sold 640k 2ds in France untill 30 november ( iow 640k in a month and a half) while vgc has the total 3ds number at 300k max

What is your source for this because it doesn't sound remotely likely.  US sales for all of October and November were 1222k across both the 3DS and 2DS.  There is pretty much no way that French 2DS sales alone were more than half of that.  Especially since it is covering a shorter time period.

edit that does mean at 30 nov 3ds is overtracked here by +-140k but selling at a lower weekly pace then it in reality does

Why exactly would he not mean weekly sales or since release?  I am looking at a lousy google translation, but I don't see "total" there.  Also, let's be realistic.  The same interview says 3DS software is at 1.7m for the year yet one piece of hardware sold 650k in a month and a half?

Actually the article also says they have sold 2.15m 3DS since launch.  VGC shows 2.29m in the same time frame.  Case closed I would say.

No it doesn't.  How can you possibly believe that he means 30% of the lifetime 3DS total came from the 2DS between October 12th and November 29th?  Even if the 3DS sold zero units in that time frame, then it was only at 1.5m at the 2DS launch.  If 3DS sales were half of 2DS sales then it would only be at 1.18m.
