My guess for the lower than expected 3DS sales is: PS4 and XBone.
Seeing as no launch, except Wii, was met with so much anticipation, it`s natural to see other consoles - especially handhelds - suffer from that.

Same. It's hard to believe that last year's holiday with only Paper mario SS is beating this year's holiday with pokemon, 2ds, zelda andMH4 (in Japan).

I doubt handhelds will completely get killed off by mobile. I still think there is room for atleast 1 80-100m selling handheld per generation. But you're right, were probably never going to see 2 great selling handhelds, let alone 1. It is sad that kids of this generation will grow up with games on smartphones.

Europe is are realy big Playstation Fans. They buy not a device they are cost 100 dollar more and are not popular enough. the Fan Base is realy small when you compare the Playstation fans.

This is the Truth . I am a Nintendo Fan. I have a 3ds and a WII U . And i love this devices. I will not buy a Ps4 i have no interest in this thing. But what is true is true. You can not be a blind fanboy.

People like Michael Pachter are concentration to much about America when they say such stupid thing we Xbox will sell less 20 percent. Even i know then this will not happen. It will sell 20 Percent probably in America ( i doubt this) but the PS will destroy the Xbox in Europe and Japan forget the Xbox total.

I say 1:2 or 1:1,5 when they are lucky.

People they hate in the Internet thej have all small pe.....

Digital purchases, PSN Plus rented games (Resogun...) and lots of free games (Warframe, blacklight, DC Universe...) on PS4 may help to explain the low sales of traditional physical games.
