from what i understand it isnt even sold out. and i know you arent trolling, your a good poster. they didnt announce 3 million, they probably wont. they will probably announce the full year figure at CES or when they Q results are out. 

Don't forget, Xone isn't out in many country's in Europe...

I'm personally not expecting an update from Sony regarding PS4 sales numbers until perhaps the launch in Japan (or with the quarter financials), since they've essentially updated us after the US launch, and then the European one. I really doubt that they're going to make an announcement after every single million mark they hit.

Yes you have a point many seem to forget a lot. Sony is entering this gen by proving to be more than just hard/software and entertainment machine but the whole package, the whole service together via only a subscription. And it has only started so brace yourselves,,,

yeah, but that would be after the Quarter results. so we would get an update of those numbers. but either way, if these numbers are true, sony should easily break that 5 million mark by the end of march. 1.6 million to go, with the japanese launch.

yeah this is probably going to be how this new gen goes that $500 price tag and sony being "for the gamer" this going to hurt the xbone 

My brother is a perfect example of this, as he has only purchased the PS4 and a Plus subscription, and has mostly been playing Resogun and a few other digital games (i.e., he hasn't purchased any retail games yet).
